The Details
Flagstaff built the Monte Vista itself. The town raised the money, opened the doors on New Year's Day, 1927, and let a twelve-year-old name it in a contest. It has been collecting famous guests and unexplained stories ever since: John Wayne reportedly answered a knock from room service that wasn't there, more than once.
Hand drawn by a local artist, this is one of eight landmarks in the Keep Flagstaff Freaky collection and a headliner on the original Freaky Foot Tours ghost route. Hear the legends on the tour, then stick the hotel somewhere it can keep an eye on you.
The sticker: about 4 inches tall, durable weather and water resistant satin vinyl. Sold and shipped by us in Flagstaff.
